1 - Purpose and scope

1.1 These Harbour and Guest Rules apply to the booking guest, all accompanying guests and all visitors of Burgflotte at Marina Rheinlicht, Rheinuferstraße, 65391 Lorch am Rhein, Germany.

1.2 They are intended to protect all persons, the Floating Homes, the jetty and marina facilities, neighbouring berth holders, the environment and orderly marina operations.

1.3 Instructions issued by Burgflotte, the operator of Marina Rheinlicht, emergency services and competent authorities must be followed without delay.

1.4 The Harbour Rules of Marina Rheinlicht also apply. For Burgflotte guests, the more specific or stricter provisions of these Rules apply to the extent permitted by law.

1.5 Booking, prices, payment and cancellation terms, the security deposit, check-in and check-out are governed by the Booking Conditions, the relevant property description, the booking process and the booking confirmation. These Rules primarily govern safety, conduct and on-site use.

1.6 The booking guest must make these Rules available to all accompanying guests and visitors before they enter the marina and must take reasonable steps to ensure compliance.

2 - General conduct

2.1 Guests must behave calmly, considerately and with due regard to safety throughout the marina area.

2.2 Other guests, berth holders, residents, boat owners and marina staff must not be disturbed, endangered or harassed.

2.3 The marina is not a public playground or bathing area. Particular care is required on jetties, walkways, ramps, stairs, transitions and outdoor areas, especially in darkness.

2.4 Guests must not enter areas of the marina that are not open to guests or that have been cordoned off.

2.5 Running, jumping, pushing and dangerous play on jetties, ramps and transitions are prohibited.

3 - Access, occupancy and use

3.1 Access to the Floating Homes and associated guest areas is permitted only to registered guests and persons authorised by Burgflotte.

3.2 The maximum occupancy confirmed during the booking process must not be exceeded; no more than six persons are permitted in each Floating Home. Children count towards occupancy.

3.3 Visitors are permitted only with Burgflotte's prior consent. Unregistered persons may not stay overnight.

3.4 Keys, codes, transponders and other access devices must not be passed on, copied or published.

3.5 Doors, windows and loose items in outdoor areas must be properly closed or secured whenever the accommodation is left unattended.

4 - Stationary Floating Homes - no navigation or technical operation

4.1 The Floating Homes are stationary accommodation units securely moored in the marina.

4.2 Guests must not operate, steer, move, detach, tow or otherwise handle the Floating Homes in any nautical manner.

4.3 Mooring lines, fenders, electricity and water connections, fuses, pumps, technical systems and safety or rescue equipment must not be altered, detached, manipulated or misused.

4.4 Unauthorised repairs or interference with technical systems are prohibited. Burgflotte must be informed immediately of any malfunction.

4.5 Charging e-bike or e-scooter batteries, large batteries or operating unusually high-powered electrical equipment requires Burgflotte's prior consent.

5 - No swimming, bathing or jumping into the water

5.1 Swimming, bathing and jumping into the water are strictly prohibited in the marina basin, from the jetties and from the Floating Homes.

5.2 The prohibition applies even in good weather, calm water and to experienced swimmers.

5.3 Entering ice surfaces is prohibited.

5.4 Rescue equipment may be used only in emergencies. It must not be removed, concealed, obstructed, misused or damaged.

6 - Children and supervision

6.1 Children must be supervised continuously and in a manner appropriate to their age throughout the marina and on the Floating Homes. Small children and non-swimmers require supervision at close range.

6.2 Small children and non-swimmers must never be left unattended on jetties, ramps, terraces, rooftop terraces or in any other area near the water.

6.3 The marina and certain outdoor areas are not continuously protected by railings or fall protection.

6.4 The statutory responsibility for supervision rests with the parents, legal guardians or accompanying supervisory persons.

6.5 Burgflotte recommends additional appropriate safety measures, in particular constant close supervision and, where appropriate, properly fitting life jackets.

7 - Pets and assistance dogs

7.1 Pets are not permitted.

7.2 This rule is intended in particular to promote safety on jetties, walkways and outdoor areas and to protect animals and other guests.

7.3 Statutory rights relating to medically required assistance dogs remain unaffected. An assistance dog should be disclosed before booking wherever possible so that access, safety and marina requirements can be coordinated in good time.

8 - Quiet hours, noise and events

8.1 Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 9:00 am.

8.2 During quiet hours, music, conversations, doors, footsteps on jetties and all other noise must be kept to an absolute minimum.

8.3 Unnecessary or avoidable noise must also be avoided outside quiet hours.

8.4 Speakers, sound systems, musical instruments, megaphones and similar devices may be used only at room volume.

8.5 Parties, loud celebrations, bachelor or bachelorette parties and events are not permitted without Burgflotte's prior express consent in text form.

9 - Smoking, fire and barbecuing

9.1 Smoking and vaping tobacco or nicotine products are prohibited inside the Floating Homes.

9.2 Smoking in outdoor areas belonging to the accommodation is permitted only if it creates no fire hazard, pollution, nuisance or danger to others. Smoking on jetties and in other common areas must be avoided.

9.3 Cigarette butts, ash and other smoking waste must not enter the water, jetties or natural surroundings and must be disposed of safely after cooling completely.

9.4 Open flames, fire baskets, candles, torches, pyrotechnics, fireworks, charcoal barbecues and comparable fire hazards are prohibited.

9.5 Where Burgflotte provides a gas barbecue as an amenity and releases it for the particular stay, only that barbecue may be used, at the designated location, in accordance with all operating and safety instructions and under constant supervision.Guests may not bring or operate other barbecues.

9.6 Fire extinguishers, smoke alarms and other fire safety equipment must not be covered, disabled, removed or misused.

10 - Alcohol and intoxicating substances

10.1 Alcohol may be consumed only to an extent that does not impair the safe use of the accommodation or marina.

10.2 Persons whose perception, reactions or mobility are materially impaired by alcohol, medication or other substances must not enter jetties, ramps, rooftop terraces or other areas near the water. Being accompanied does not override this prohibition.

10.3 Possession and consumption of illegal drugs are prohibited.

10.4 Guests who endanger others, cause significant disturbance or breach these Rules because of their condition may be required to leave the accommodation and marina for safety reasons.

11 - Environmental, water and wastewater protection

11.1 Waste must be disposed of in accordance with the on-site instructions. Where no guest waste disposal facility is provided, guests must take their waste away and dispose of it properly outside the marina.

11.2 Sewage, wastewater, oils, fuels, chemicals, paints, cleaning agents, food waste, hygiene products, cigarette butts and other foreign substances must not be discharged into the marina basin, the Rhine or the natural environment.

11.3 Toilets, drains and sanitary facilities may be used only for their intended purpose. Only human waste and ordinary toilet paper may be disposed of in toilets; wet wipes, hygiene products, food, fats and other objects are prohibited.

11.4 Broken glass, spilled liquids and other hazards or contamination must be removed immediately where this can be done safely, or reported to Burgflotte.

11.5 Feeding waterfowl or fish from the jetties or Floating Homes is not permitted.

11.6 Any actual or threatened water pollution must be reported immediately to Burgflotte and the marina; in an acute danger situation, the competent emergency or hazard-control authorities must also be contacted.

12 - Order, cleanliness and safe storage

12.1 The Floating Homes, furniture, appliances and other equipment must be treated carefully and kept in an orderly condition.

12.2 Furniture, inventory and equipment must not be removed from the accommodation, misused or rearranged without Burgflotte's consent where this could cause damage or a safety risk.

12.3 Outdoor furniture, cushions and other loose items must be secured during wind or rain and whenever the accommodation is left unattended so that they cannot fall into the water, be blown away or cause damage.

12.4 Bicycles, luggage, containers, waste and other objects must not be placed on jetties, ramps, access routes, escape routes or rescue areas.

12.5 At the end of the stay, personal belongings must be removed, waste disposed of properly and the accommodation left in a reasonable, broom-clean condition.

13 - Safety in weather, darkness and special conditions

13.1 Particular care is required in rain, wet or slippery conditions, wind, storms, thunderstorms, high water, darkness, fog or poor visibility.

13.2 Jetties, ramps, stairs, transitions and outdoor surfaces may be wet, slippery, movable or obstructed by floating debris.

13.3 Outdoor areas and jetties must not be entered where it is evidently unsafe to do so. Closures and use restrictions must be strictly observed.

13.4 Instructions issued by Burgflotte, the marina, emergency services or authorities, and official warnings, take precedence over all general provisions.

14 - Damage, defects, fire and emergencies

14.1 Damage, defects, malfunctions, safety risks, accidents and loss of access devices must be reported to Burgflotte without delay.

14.2 In the event of an immediate danger to life or health, fire, heavy smoke or a water accident, the emergency services must be called first. Burgflotte and the marina must then be informed where this can be done safely.

14.3 In the event of fire or smoke, warn other persons, leave the Floating Home immediately and call 112. Attempts to extinguish a fire are permitted only without endangering yourself.

14.4 Escape routes, access points, jetties, fire extinguishers, lifebuoys and other rescue equipment must remain freely accessible at all times.

15 - Parking and arrival

15.1 Vehicles may be parked only in designated areas or spaces assigned by Burgflotte or the marina.

15.2 Emergency routes, access roads, slipways, work areas, loading areas and private parking spaces must not be blocked.

15.3 The provision or allocation of a parking space does not create a custody or safekeeping agreement. Statutory liability remains unaffected.

16 - Photography, video and drones

16.1 Private photos and videos are permitted provided that the rights of other persons, the privacy of other guests and berth holders, and marina operations are not adversely affected.

16.2 Commercial recordings, productions, photo shoots, live streams and comparable uses require the prior consent of Burgflotte and, where applicable, the marina.

16.3 Drone flights are prohibited without the prior consent of Burgflotte and the marina and without all official permissions and aviation-law requirements that may be applicable.

17 - Breaches of these Rules

17.1 In the event of a breach, Burgflotte may issue a warning, prohibit particular conduct, refuse access to persons or terminate the stay for good cause in the case of a serious or repeated breach.

17.2 Immediate termination may be appropriate in particular in the event of serious safety breaches, danger to other persons, swimming in the marina basin, manipulation of technical systems or rescue equipment, detaching mooring lines, major noise disturbance, unauthorised parties, intentional damage to property or substantial water pollution.

17.3 Claims for damages, claims against the security deposit, payment claims under the Booking Conditions and all other statutory or contractual rights remain unaffected.

18 - Incorporation, governing version and amendments

18.1 Where these Rules were made available to the guest before conclusion of the contract and validly incorporated, they form part of the accommodation contract. Visitors must observe the safety and conduct rules applicable on site irrespective of contractual incorporation.

18.2 As a general rule, the version incorporated when the contract was concluded governs the contractual relationship. Safety-related instructions and temporary use restrictions may be issued with immediate effect during the stay where necessary and reasonable.

18.3 In the event of discrepancies between the German and English versions, the German version prevails unless mandatory law provides otherwise. The English version is provided for information.
